How Cavet Technologies’ Lumismart Intelligent Lighting Controller is changing the way existing properties look at energy efficient lighting.

Recently our office had the distinct pleasure of hosting Cavet Technologies’ Simon Jerome to showcase Cavet’s fantastic new energy savings device – the Lumismart Intelligent Lighting Controller (ILC).
Without getting too technical (generally a hopeless task when describing wave-form modification), the Lumismart ILC is able to reduce energy consumption by tricking lighting systems into drawing less power from a building’s electrical panel.
Alternating currents, from which all of our electricity is distributed and transmitted, exist as sine waves. The Lumismart ILC is able to extract thin energy “slices” from these waves, which tricks your lighting ballast into operating efficiently and effectively at levels of 30%-50% less energy.
While the Lumismart is exceedingly compatible with many building types and ages, it is recommended that you consult with a building professional to determine the feasibility and relative performance for your specific facility. This would also prove beneficial in attaining the full incentives that are available to you as utilities have begun seeing the potential benefit of Lumismart in their load reduction plans.
